Creating a Voice Message
In creating a new voice message, your dialer just seems to 'hang' and the call is never completed. And yes, the number I directed it to is
valid-- (it is a landline wherein a user is directely connected).
All the steps through step 7 were completed. The hangup occurs at step 8. Please advise on the fix. Thanks!
There may be something set up wrong on your system, especially if this is your first time creating voice messages or using the dialer. I would reccomend contacting InsideSales Support via the Support link and submitting a case on the matter. If you don't have the Support link get in touch with your System Administrator. If you are using a demo contact a member of the InsideSales Sales team. They can look over your demo and make sure that everything is in order.






To create a new voice message to be used with your dialer:
1. Click on the Admin tab
2. Click on the Voice Message Manager link under Personal Settings
3. Click on the Add Voice Message button
4. You will then choose to make the vm private or to make it available to everyone on the system
5. Name the message
6. Type out a script if you want to
7. Click the Create button to begin recording.
8. Our system will then call the phone number that is in the phone field in your Personal Information
9. Press 2 to record a new message
10. When you are finished speaking your message, you may pause until the voice prompt gives you the options again to press 1 to listen or press 2 to record
11. Hang up when finished
