Caller ID in a dialer initiative

I'm editing existing dialer initiatives and am unable to complete the edit without adding in a specific caller ID. As I recall , in the past I used to be able to select a box to control this. Something along the lines of 'use station caller id' but that box is no longer there in edit mode. What do I put in the Caller ID box?

What happens if I leave it blank?

The "Use agent station as caller id" button is back!

You can now select the checkbox on the first page of editing the dialer initiative that says "Use agent station as caller id" and it will use the agent's station phone number as the caller id when they dial from the initiative.

Upcoming feature

In the past the 'use station caller id' was visible. The box was an upcoming feature that leaked out early. The box will be making a comback in a future product update.

The reason you cannot leave the box blank is because it is illegal to call someone without diplaying a CID. I usually set the CID box to a central number such as our inbound toll free number. That way if people call the number they can can be routed by our IVR.

Addendum . . .

. . . it's impossible to save a dialer initiative since a dialog box appears each time I attempt to save it indicating it's requried to fill in the CID field. Since I have no idea what to put there, I can't save the initiative.
