Setting up an XML Integration
To setup an XML Integration you first need to upload the XML file that the lead vendor sent you.
- Click Browse and select the file that your lead vendor sent you.
- Click Upload after you have selected the file.
After you have uploaded the file you will need to select the fields that you want to capture from the vendor.
This is one of the lengthiest parts of setting up the integration.
- Click on the button that has ... on it
- This will bring up a new window that has all of the fields on the XML file. It will look something similar to the image below.
- To add the variable to the field you will need to click the link, so in our example above you would click Mike to capture the first_name variable.
- After clicking the name the window will close, you then need to type the common name for it in InsideSales. Under the Post Field Name type in the name of the variable.
- Note: The easiest way to get the variable name is to select it and copy it from the XML Selector screen and then after you click the link copy it into the Post Field Name.
- Once you have done this with each field your Fields table should look something similar to the image below.
When you have completed adding all the variables click Done in the Integration Information to go back to the templates section
