What format must my voice message recordings be in to work properly?
1. Pre-recorded voice messages must be recorded as .WAV files. MP3, WMA, AAC, or other compressed files will not work with the dialing system.
2. Most .WAV files are recorded using the standard CD-Audio (often called Redbook) audio format. The specifications for these files are:
16-bit sample size
44khz sample rate
2-channel (Stereo)
PCM codec
InsideSales.com does not support the standard Redbook CD-Audio format for .WAV files, so the files will have to be re-encoded to work properly.
3. FOR ALL NON-UCN telephone system users (90 to 95% of InsideSales dialer clients) the .WAV files must be encoded in the following format:
16-bit sample size
8 khz sample rate
1-channel (Mono)
PCM or GSM codec
4. UCN telephone system users the .WAV file must be encoded using the following format:
8-bit sample size
8 khz sample rate
1-channel (Mono)
uLaw codec
